It was an absolute surprise to all at the reception - I just hope somebody caught on camera the look of surprise (and delight) on the faces of my daughter and my wife as Richard made his entrance!!!

Sahara's wedding - 16 October 2010 - Richard was fantastic on our wedding day! He was dressed in authentic traditional Scottish attire which was a perfect match as our groom and groomsmen were dressed in similar attire… click here to read more. It helped to give our wedding its 'Scottish' feel. The bagpipes were the perfect music to evoke emotion during the ceremony. One of the groomsmen who was visiting from Scotland commented that when he heard the 'Flower of Scotland' played it brought a tear to his eye. We would definitely recommend Richard for weddings as he was very professional and made everything very easy to organise before the ceremony when we talked on the phone and emailed. Matt's mother's funeral - 19 August 2010 - The word 'thank you' does not convey my family and I's appreciation for your efforts on short notice with regards to performing at my mother's funeral… click here to read more. She had a love of the sound of the pipes that many in our family could never understand, as they are an instrument that people either love or hate - there seems to be no middle ground. Your performance on the day was something to be proud of, and added a special tribute that my mother would have admired and loved.

It was also a wonderful surprise to find that you were part of the McGregor clan and turning out in the clan tartan made it more special to the family than mere words can express. Your presentation, demeanour and performance on the day was exceptional and as such I'll keep your details and have no hesitation in recommending your company to anyone in the future.

Liam and Ammie - 23 December 2009 - As our wedding was attended by many Scots, including a former Scottish pipe band drummer, we required a top quality piper with a solid repertoire, to play. We were not disappointed!… click here to read more. In fact Richard was the finishing touch to an incredible day and was integral to the great atmosphere and sense of occasion. He was professional whilst relaxed and was comfortable playing any piped songs that were suggested, even at relatively late notice. Our wedding wouldn't have been complete without him! Jane & Paul's wedding - 7 November 2009 - Having a piper at our wedding was a decision that turned out to be the easiest part of the whole thing! Not only was Richard available on the day (phew!), but I was able to meet with him to decide on tunes.… click here to read more. There were mpg's available, we briefly discussed the timetabling of his playing... and it was all decided incredibly quickly and easily! (if only the whole wedding was that easy...)

I would have been more than happy at this point - but Richard took it one step further, and learnt a (non Scottish/traditional) tune that I had enquired about specifically for me as a surprise - playing it during the signing of the register - a very touching and appreciated gesture.

However the best bit about having Richard pipe at our wedding was the reaction amongst everyone - the powerful and emotive impact of having the pipes surprised many at the wedding - most significantly the groom (even though he knew there was to be a piper he choked up with emotion thanks to the quality of the playing!)

I cannot recommend Sydney Bagpipers enough for their professionalism, and specifically Richard, who was supported and helped most wonderfully by Frances!

Great people! Great piping! Great impact! and easy...
